Our amazing educators

Come learn about the fabulous duo, Shawn Renee Robinson and Brian Berlinski

Hi, I'm Shawn Renee, the Early Intervention and Home Visitor at Center on Early Intervention on Deafness. I have been involved professionally in Deaf/Hard of Hearing preschool education for 20+ years and personally for 25+ years. I am a proud parent of CEID graduate from the early 90's.

I am a graduate of Pacific Oaks College with a background in Human Development with an emphasis in early childhood education. My goal is to help every child build a solid foundation that will provide a smooth transition for their future. I believe every child should walk away inspired to become a lifetime learner.

In my spare time, I enjoy shopping for high heels, cooking gourmet meals, and watching UNC Tar Heels Basketball.

Shawn Renee Robinson

I grew up in New Jersey, but now I call the Bay Area in California my home. I received a B.A. in Art from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a graduate degree in Art Therapy from Nazareth College of Rochester.

I have worked as an art therapist with children, and as an advocate for Deaf survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence.

After going through a huge metamorphosis, I am now working as a Deaf mentor for families with Deaf children. I volunteer my time as a Board Member of a Bay Area nonprofit organization called DeafHope.

Along the way, I became a father of three Deaf children who are enrolled at a school for the Deaf in California. What do I like to do for fun?  I enjoy traveling, making art, and teaching my kids how to cook at home -- without burning down the kitchen!
